John moved to Windsor, Ontario from Oshawa for University in 2003.  In his spare time from his courses, he continued to crafting his guitar skills while studying guitarists from the likes of Tool, Queens of the Stone Age, Soundgarden, and Radiohead.  With his tendency towards writing fiction and short screenplays, song-writing seemed to be the next logical step.  While befriending local musician Jamie Reaume and playing along his side at the west end's Twig and Berries every Tuesday, he soon hung around The Golden Eagles recording sessions at the SharkTank in early 2009.  As buzz grew around Mark Plancke's From the Tank compilation, John was eager to hop on board.  For the recording, he enlisted the help of Geoff Yunker (The Golden Eagles) to handle the drumming while John handled the bass, guitars and vocals.   John can be seen in local cover band, The Glow, and soon enough with another band (The Van Danglers) featuring Jamie Reaume and Jordan Tough.
